Garden Candy® Strawberry Swirl™ Itoh Peony
Imagine flowers made from sweet, creamy strawberry ice cream. Strawberry Swirl is the clearest, cleanest, most perfect shade of pink we have seen in an ITOH. It is dainty, yet strong and sweet as candy, of course.
And like all of the other Garden Candy® selections, Strawberry Swirl is not only sweet, and full of 4" wide double flowers, it is deer and mildew resistant too. Plant this selection and expect three full seasons of interest with its lovely early summer flowers, super clean deep olive green leaves all summer, and then lovely maroon fall color.
No staking required!
The Garden Candy® series was developed by Don Smith, a retired atmospheric research scientist who decided breeding Itoh peonies was his new calling. Peonies in the series are named after all things sweet, from candies to sweet fruits to sweet grandchildren.
Week 5 bloom date rating.
Registered: Smith, D.R.
#2 Division roots are shipped or available for pickup in fall and are much larger and more likely to bloom than the #1 Divisions sold elsewhere.
